SUFFOLK, Va. – Find your superhero side this July with your local Parks and Rec! The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) is promoting National Parks and Rec Month to highlight the power and influence parks can have on a healthy lifestyle.
Suffolk Parks and Rec is celebrating this July by holding a selfie contest, and it’s new every week!
July 1-4 challenge is to Selfie with Nature.
July 11-17 challenge is to Selfie with Healthy (selfie doing exercises, eating healthy, etc.)
July 18-24 challenge is to Selfie with Friends and Community
July 25-31 challenge is to Selfie with your Superhero side.
Weekly prizes will be awarded. The contest can be entered via Facebook or by uploading a photo to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtags #SuperJuly and #SuperParkSelfie.
