Virginia the most patriotic state in 2016, study finds

A new study from WalletHub says Virginia is the most patriotic state in the U.S.

Patriotism was measured from 12 key factors that speak to issues like military engagement, voting habits and civil-education requirements.

Here are the top 10 patriotic states, according to the study:

1. Virginia
2. Alaska
3. South Carolina
4. Colorado
5. Georgia
6. Hawaii
7. Montana
8. Alabama
9. Washington
10. New Hampshire

According to the study, the least patriotic state is New Jersey.
