SUFFOLK, Va. – The Suffolk Police Department is holding a Dog Walker Watch training session that will be held July 26 at 6 p.m.

The session will be in the City Council Chamber in City Hall.

During this training session, community members are invited to come out and learn how to successfully observe and report suspicions or crimes that they have Murraywitnessed.

The Suffolk Police Department will focus on what to keep your eyes open for when out walking your dog around the neighborhood.

The event’s purpose is to improve the security and well-being of the community, and to also improve the health of the community members by getting them involved in physical activity.

Lastly, they hope that the Dog Walker Watch will increase pet adoption for those without dogs to walk.
