PEMBROKE, Va. – Do you feel like dancing? Wish you could go see where Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze won over hearts in 1987’s “Dirty Dancing”?
Turns out the Mountain Lake Lodge resort, otherwise known as “Kellerman’s,” is hosting themed weekends throughout the summer months!
Three weekends each year, the hotel hosts Dirty Dancing themed getaways.
Heidi Stone, the hotel’s general manager, told ABC News. “It is amazing how many thousands of ‘Dirty Dancing’ fans we meet every summer. We have guests from all over the world that come to Mountain Lake Lodge just for the Dirty Dancing Weekends. It tends to be a popular ‘girls’ getaway’ weekend, but we do see some husbands and boyfriends from time to time.”
This year’s remaining Dirty Dancing weekends are:
July 29-31
August 26-28
“Cost depends on accommodations and whether or not you want to include meals,” a hotel spokesperson posted on Facebook.
The lodge is located in Giles County, about a 5 – 6 hour drive from the Hampton Roads area.
