NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Authorities want to remind Pokemon Go players to stay off of certain properties after dusk.

Police say Virginia State Code states properties including churches, schools and cemeteries are closed after dusk.  Playing the game on those properties while they are closed can constitute as trespassing.

According to police, trespassers could be charged with a misdemeanor.

Other local police departments are also warning citizens about potential dangers of the game. Hampton Police recently released a video advising players to use the buddy system while playing the game.
