Meteorologist April Loveland’s First Warning Forecast

Tracking more heat and humidity to begin the workweek….Dry and humid conditions overnight with lows in the low to mid 70s. Mostly dry conditions heading into Monday. Highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Dew points in the low to mid 70s making for a very muggy day. Heat index values in the upper 90s to around 100. Make sure you stay hydrated!

A cold front will approach from the northwest Monday night into Tuesday. A slight chance for a shower or storm late Monday, with better chances on Tuesday. Heavy rain and gusty winds possible with any storms that develop Tuesday. A drier air mass will move in on Wednesday and we’ll get a little relief from the heat as temperatures drop to the mid 80s. Temperatures will trend hotter on Friday and into the weekend.

Overnight: Partly to mostly clear skies. Humid. Lows in the low to mid 70s. Winds: SW 5-10 mph.

Monday: Hot and humid. Sun and clouds mix with highs in the lower 90s, but will feel like the triple digits. Winds: SW 10-15 mph.

Monday night: A chance for showers and storms (20%). Lows in the mid to upper 70s. Humid. Winds: SW 10-15 mph.
