NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Consolidated Courts Building closed at 1 p.m. Monday due to high temperatures inside the building.

The courthouse, located at the corner of Saint Pauls Blvd. and E. City Hall Ave., houses the General District and Circuit Courts.

According to a Norfolk city spokesperson, there is an electrical problem with the HVAC system.  They are working with the company right now to figure out what the problem is.

It's unclear how long the building will remain closed.

According to the Circuit Court clerk's office, all of their cases scheduled for Monday were completed by 1 p.m.
