The First Warning Storm Team continues to track extreme heat into Monday…A warm and humid Sunday night in store. Lows in the upper 70s under mostly clear skies. Temperatures Monday will warm quickly with highs in the mid to upper 90s. Once we factor in the dew points…we’ll have heat index values in the triple digits. Make sure you take the proper precautions if you are going to be outside. Keep yourself hydrated, and don’t forget about your pets! If you’re hot, they’re hot too.  A slight chance for a shower or storm in the afternoon, but for the most part, we’ll remain dry with a mixture of sun and clouds.

*A Heat Advisory will go into effect Monday at noontime and expire at 8:00 pm*

The 90s stick around through next weekend. A cold front will cross the region Tuesday with a chance for afternoon and evening showers and storms, but will not provide much relief temperature-wise.

Sunday night: Mostly clear. Very warm and humid with lows in the upper 70s. Winds: SW 5-10 mph.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a few clouds in the mix. Hot and humid with highs in the mid to upper 90s.  Heat index values in the triple digits. Slight chance for an afternoon shower or storm (20%). Winds: SW 10-15 mph.
