NORFOLK, Va. – The Downtown Norfolk Pokemon Raid and Party has been postponed due to extreme heat expected on Wednesday.

The event has been rescheduled to Wednesday, August 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The raid will begin at the Town Point Park main stage. Trainers can check in to get a SevenVenues Pokemon Raid map. The route will take trainers to Pokestops throughout downtown. Some of the stops include the Battleship Wisconsin, Nauticus and the Pagoda.

The route may end at the Scope Arena plaza, but that’s where the party starts. Activities at the arena will include a live DJ, games, contests, prizes, food trucks and more.

Be sure to grab your coolest Pokemon gear–a grand prize will be awarded to the best dressed trainer.

The event is free and open to the public. Trainers must bring their own mobile devices.
