RICHMOND, Va. - Although he hasn't played a game since 2007, Sean Taylor's number 21 jersey is by far the most popular with fans at Redskins Training Camp.

"He'll always be a Redskin to me," said Chesapeake's Jay Lynch. "He was my favorite player to ever play the game. I watched him in college and then when we drafted him, I was so excited we were getting him on our team. I'm just trying to pass it on to the kids. My son used to wear this jersey and now [my daughter, Riley] is growing into it."

"He's still my favorite player and he will always be my favorite player," Hunter Ballard of Virginia Beach explained. "It's not just what he did on the field, but off it as well."

Kedric Golston shared a field with Sean Taylor. And a locker room. The 11th year Redskins lineman played with Taylor in Washington in 2006 and 2007. '07 was the year Taylor was killed in a home invasion.

"Like Coach [Joe] Gibbs used to say, 'He's a true Redskin," Golston told News 3. "As far as how he approached the game and his passion and his loyalty, it'll be one of those jerseys that will forever be out here."

Taylor played only 55 games in the burgundy and gold. But from the sidelines to the store, even today, it's obvious Sean was Taylor-made to be a Redskins legend.

"I think he was the best player we ever had on our squad," said Travis Lisbon of Charlotte. "Sean identified with the Redskins. He was the best safety I've ever seen."
