CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at the intersection of Portsmouth Boulevard and Dock Landing Road.
A preliminary police investigation revealed one vehicle was traveling eastbound and the other was traveling westbound both on Portsmouth Blvd.
One vehicle attempted to turn left onto Dock Landing Road from Portsmouth Blvd., and was struck by the other vehicle.
Both vehicles had two occupants.
Medics responded to the scene and it was determined that the accident resulted in one fatality.
All other occupants involved in the crash were transported to Norfolk Sentara General Hospital.
Portsmouth Boulevard at Dock Landing Road was closed to all traffic for the investigation but have since reopened.
