NORFOLK, Va. – A local film competition is set to return to Hampton Roads.
Submissions are open for Filmily Fest 2016 through August 24 with a registration fee of $75. From August 1 to August 14, the registration fee will be discounted to $65.
Ten teams will be chosen to compete in Filmily Fest. The teams will create a five to 15 minute film inspired by photographs.
According to JPixx, a local video marketing boutique and the host of the competition, the goal of the festival is to bring local film artists together to create short films, improve on their skills and bond with fellow filmmakers.
The production phase of the festival will start September 1 and end November 18. An awards screening will be held in early December. The location is to be determined.
