ABINGDON, Va. – Donald Trump made remarks at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center Wednesday afternoon.

This is not the first time Trump has visited Virginia since hitting the campaign trail. He has made stops in Roanoke, Richmond and Ashburn within the past few months.

He’s also made several trips to Hampton Roads, speaking at Regent University in Virginia in February and at Nauticus in Norfolk in November 2015.

Trumps running mate, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, made a campaign stop at a town hall in Virginia Beach, and then at a rally at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott on August 4. Pence spoke for about an hour at the Founders Inn, touching on many topics including the military. At one point, he seemed to address recent controversies involving the campaign, saying Trump can weather the storm from democrats and the media. Pence also said he wants to focus on the real issues of the campaign.
