HAMPTON, Va. – Police have arrested a 23-year-old man for a five-month-old boy’s January 2016 death.
Officers were called to the 1st block of Lakeshore Drive on the afternoon of January 27 in reference to an unresponsive baby boy.
The baby, identified as Chandler Berry, was taken to a local hospital where he died two days later.
An investigation revealed that Montreaz Berry physically assaulted Chandler Berry on January 27. They were the only ones in the home when the incident occurred.
Montreaz Berry has been charged with one count of Murder and one count of Abuse and Neglect of Children.
He was released on bond.
