Newport News store robbed at gunpoint, police search for two suspects

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - A Metro PCS was robbed at gunpoint Sunday, according to police.

Two black males entered the store within minutes of its opening and one man produced a black semi-automatic handgun.

They forced the clerk into the rear of the store and stole bank deposit bags containing cash.

After the robbery, the suspects fled southbound on foot.

One customer was inside the business at the time of the robbery. No one was injured.
