Darin M. Blazer was charged with one count of Reckless Handling of a Firearm.
HAMPTON, Va. – Police arrested a man in connection with a shooting that happened on August 9.
Just before 2 a.m. on August 9, officers were to the Sentara Care Plex Hospital in reference to a “walk in” shooting victim.
Officers located the victim, a 22-year-old Hayes woman, who had suffered from a single gunshot wound that was considered non-life threatening.
Further investigation revealed that the victim and suspect were both inside a home in the first block of Ambrose Lane, when the suspect was handling the firearm and it discharged a single round and struck the victim.
Darin M. Blazer, a 25-year-old Hampton man was arrested and charged with one count of Reckless Handling of a Firearm.
