CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake Police are asking the community to join their neighbors and police officers for a morning of coffee and conversation.

Citizens can attend the event, which is presented by the police department, on August 24 at the McDonald’s on 400 South Battlefield Boulevard.

“The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve,” said a Chesapeake Police spokesperson. “By removing agendas and allowing opportunities to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know the officers in your neighborhood.”

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
