The Spartans will kick off their season at 6 p.m. instead of 2 p.m.

Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk State University Athletics Director Marty L. Miller announced earlier today that the game time for the season-opener against Elizabeth City State would be pushed back to 6 p.m on Sept. 3rd at Dick Price Stadium, citing heat concerns. The original game time was scheduled for 2 p.m.

“We are attempting to create a feisty and fun-filled weekend for the ABNB Labor Day Classic. With the extreme heat that is being experienced in Virginia, we want to make sure that the game environment is a safe and comfortable one for the student-athletes and fans from both institutions,” Miller says.
