TSA officers stop Virginia Beach man from boarding plane with loaded gun

NORFOLK, Va. – A Virginia Beach man attempted to bring a  .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun loaded with six bullets onto his flight from Norfolk to Chicago Tuesday.

TSA officers saw the gun in the man’s carry-on bag as it went through the checkpoint x-ray machine in the Norfolk International Airport.

TSA officers immediately contacted Norfolk Airport Authority Police, who confiscated the weapon and gave the man a citation on a state weapon charge.
