Newport News, Va. – Virginia State Police responded to a fight between individuals in the southbound lanes of Interstate 664 near the south island of the MMMBT in Newport News Tuesday night.
The altercation happened just before 9:00pm.
State Police say a female was stabbed in the lower leg. She was transported to Riverside Hospital.
Police arrested Rachquel Ricks of Portsmouth and she has been charged with malicious wounding.
The incident remains under investigation.
