DICK’s Sporting Goods, Field & Stream kick off Grand Opening weekend in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - DICK'S Sporting Goods is kicking off their three-day Grand Opening weekend on Friday at their brand new Chesapeake location.

The new store is located in the new Greenbrier Square shopping center just north of I-64, off Battlefield Boulevard. It is the first to open in Chesapeake and will have a DICK’S Sporting Goods and a Field & Stream under the same roof.

Several special guests will be at the three-day grand opening celebration, which ends on Sunday.

On Friday, Troy and Chase Landry, as seen on the Swamp People® TV series, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Melissa Bachman, Winchester Deadly Passion host, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

On Saturday, former college football coach Frank Beamer from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; Captain Wild Bill, star of Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch® from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Melissa Bachman, Winchester Deadly Passion host, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

On Sunday, former outfielder Michael Cuddyer from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and former Delta Force Operator, SGM(R), Kyle Lamb from 3:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m.

The store will also be giving away prizes to guests in line early before the store opens each day.

Guests in line early will get a chance to open the DICK’S Sporting Goods Gift Locker at 7:45 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 8:45 a.m. on Sunday.**

The first 250 people in line on Friday receive a free Reebok Play Dry® T-Shirt.

The first 100 adults in line on Saturday and Sunday will receive a free Mystery Gift Card ranging in value from $5 to $500, with one person winning the $500 card each day.
