News 3 and Southern Bank are teaming up for a computer drive.
People are encouraged to donate old computers to be refurbished and donated to school children.
The drive will be held on Saturday, September 17 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Blvd. Southern Bank branch.
The address is 3720 Virginia Beach Blvd.
Old computers will be taken by the Kramdin Instituteand will be completely refurbished in a safe way.
Computers are then donated to children who need computers at home to excel in school.
They usually go to low income homes where parents cannot afford computers. The Kramdin Institute also goes to the home, sets up the computer, and shows the family how to use it if they need.
