LANCASTER, Pa. – Thanksgiving is going to be awkward this year.

A college student visiting his family got tired of his mother asking for late-night snacks – then falling asleep by the time he brought them to her bedroom.

After this happened several times, 20-year-old Nick Avallone took to Instagram to ‘mom-shame’ her.

Avallone, who attends Northeastern University in Boston, posted several photos of his sleeping mom with the caption, “I adore my mom beyond words but I have to mom-shame her for always doing this to me.”

He added, “I love u mom don’t kill me for posting this.”

“This is not a new thing. She constantly asks for snacks and always falls asleep so I got to a point [where I said], ‘I’m going to make this into a post. This is like funny,'” he told ABC News.

Avallone says his mother thought it was cool when she learned she’d gone viral on Instagram, adding that they remain best friends.
