Clear-bottom kayaks debut at Paradise Creek Nature Park!

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Imagine gliding along the Elizabeth River and being able to see all of the wildlife and nature beneath you.

Well, you can see it all now at Paradise Creek Nature Park. They're debuting the region's first clear-bottom kayaks.

You can take a guided tour of the park's 11-acre wetland to see the river up close.

During the tour you will learn about the history of the park, the wildlife supported by this valuable habitat, and hear about the the river restoration.

Kayakers must be 12 years or older and must be at least 19 to go out without and adult.

Rides in the clear-bottom kayak are $40 per person, or $30 for Elizabeth River Project members.
