NORFOLK, Va. - A Friday night rave might not sound like your typical charity event, but that may be what makes ALZen so great.
A foam party with the cover charge going straight to Alzheimer's research may be the perfect way to get millennials thinking and caring about the debilitating disease.
Spike Pittman, the event organizer, says that so many people he knows have been affected by the disease.
The main DJ of the night, DJ Genki, and the owner of 37th and Zen where the party's being held, Annette Stone, both have mothers suffering from Alzheimer's.
The event is Friday, September 23rd from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. You must be 18 and older to attend. There is a $5 cover charge at the door, with a portion going to a local Alzheimer's charity.
