PORTSMOUTH, Va. – The Portsmouth Health Department is offering a free drive-through flu shot event on Saturday, September 24.
The event is at the Tidewater Community College in Portsmouth (120 Campus Drive) from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Free child and adult vaccines will be available for ages 6 months and up.
The event will help the Portsmouth Health Department exercise and evaluate the administration of vaccines in a drive-through format.
Additionally, the event provides free flu shots to the public and helps to increase the influenza vaccination rates in a Virginia.
Since 2010, all people, 6 months of age and older, in the United States have been recommended to receive the annual flu vaccination.
