The House of Representatives passed a short-term funding bill to keep federal agencies operating through December 9.
The vote avoids a government shutdown just two days before the deadline.
The vote was 342-85. The Senate approved the measure earlier on Thursday and the bill goes to the President’s desk for his signature.
Both the House and Senate wrapped up legislative business and members are headed home for the final sprint to the November election.
