The U.S. Senate has overturned President Barack Obama’s veto of a bill to allow the families of 9/11 victims to sue the Saudi government.
The president vetoed the bill, citing Saudi Arabia as a key ally and possibly opening the door to U.S. suits.
The bill now moves to the house, where it is expected to pass.
It’s the first time an Obama veto has been overturned in his eight years in office.
