Many sports games and events have been rescheduled ahead of Hurricane Matthew which is estimated to affect North Carolina and Virginia on Saturday.
Here is a list of events that have been rescheduled:
The Old Dominion University game against the University of Massachusetts has been moved to Friday at 8 p.m.
All Virginia Beach Public Schools varsity football games that were scheduled for Friday and Saturday have been moved to Thursday. All games will start at 7 p.m. with the exception of First Colonial’s home game against Bayside which will start at 7:30 p.m.
Currituck County High School canceled the 2016 Homecoming game against Edenton. Homecoming has been postponed until October 28 when the Knights will play First Flight. The Homecoming Dance will take place October 14 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Smithfield High School rescheduled JV and Varsity football games against Tabb High School. JV football will play Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Bailey Field and Varsity will play Thursday at 7 p.m. at Smithfield High School.
