img_1422NORFOLK, Va. – Police are investigating a crash that sent three people to the hospital Thursday morning.

Officers were called the intersection of Terminal Blvd. and Diven Street for a motor vehicle accident with injuries around 9:40 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a Dodge pickup truck was traveling east on Terminal Blvd. and was struck by a Honda sedan that was traveling north on Diven Street, attempting to make a left turn onto Terminal Blvd.

The impact caused the Dodge pickup to spin and flip onto the median.

Two Midasco employees were working on the median and both men were struck by the truck. Both workers were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, but are expected to be okay.

The man inside the pickup truck was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The woman driving the Honda Sedan was not injured during the crash.

No passengers were inside either vehicle and there were no other injuries reported.

The road was closed for the vehicles and debris to be removed but has since reopened.
