HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton Police are investigating a homicide in the first block of Petersborough Drive.
According to dispatch, a call about a shooting came in at 6:35 a.m. on Wednesday.
The caller said a man was laying unresponsive in his yard. When police arrived on scene the pronounced the adult male dead due to multiple gun shot wounds.
Neighbors who were awake between 5 and 5:30 a.m. said there was no commotion in the neighborhood as they got ready for work. None of the people we spoke to heard the gun shots or saw suspicious activity.
Police are not releasing any victim information at the time. They are working to determine a motive and identify potential suspect(s).
