DARE Co., – A 15-year-old runaway Dare County girl who had been missing since October 14 has been found safe.
Elizabeth Marie Sinks left her home in Southern Shores on October 14 and was spotted early Wednesday in the Soundview Drive area of Colington.
When she left, she was wearing a white Hurley or Rip Curl Sweatshirt, jeans, and an orange toboggan. She was also wearing a red, green, yellow, and black backpack.
Police reported she may be in the company of 16-year-old John William Smith.
Though police didn’t specify where in Dare County they were found, they did say both teens were okay.
