HAMPTON, Va. – A water main break has closed eastbound East Pembroke Avenue at East Mercury Boulevard.
Police were notified of the break at 7:13 a.m. Friday morning.
Newport News Waterworks and Hampton Streets and Roads employees have responded to the scene to investigate the break.
Cleanup and repairs are currently underway and the break is expected to be repaired and the intersection reopened later Friday.
