SUFFOLK, Va. – A Medical Examiner has determined that no foul play is associated with the skeletal remains found at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday.
Suffolk Police received a call Tuesday afternoon about the discovery of the remains. A construction crew was renovating the cemetery because of erosion.
The historic cemetery opened over a century ago and has had drainage problems.
According to Suffolk City Spokeswoman Diana Klink, the situation is not unusual.
Current construction was stopped during the investigation.
