Shannon Kane (I), running for Virginia Beach City Council – Rose Hall District

1. Why are you running for office?

I like helping people and I respect public service. I’m not a speechmaker or grandstander. I roll up my sleeves and work to get the job done. I serve on City Council to represent the voters.

The people. The hurricane truly brought out the best in people, from businesses helping people in need to neighbors helping neighbors.

We are committing tens of millions of dollars to upgrade and renovate our stormwater drainage and retention systems. This is a multi-year process and I have fought for significant budget increases to combat flooding.

My family
