1. Why are you running for office?
I am running for Portsmouth Public School Board because I am vested in the City of Portsmouth and I am invested in its future, our children. Our school division has some challenges and I have a desire to be part of a School Board that will move our schools forward.
2. Why should people vote for you?
I would ask the citizens of Portsmouth to vote for me because I am committed to utilizing my experience and time to do what is necessary to support our teachers, our superintendent and most importantly our students. As an elected official, I understand that I have been hired by the citizens represent their best interests. It is in the best interests of Portsmouth to have ALL of our schools accredited, and a flourishing career and technical program.
3. What’s your favorite thing about the area you want to represent?
I love the city of Portsmouth, most importantly it’s people.
4. What is the biggest problem your area is facing, how will you fix it?
One of the major concerns the Portsmouth public schools is facing is accreditation. I will work with my fellow board members and division administration to ensure our educators have the necessary resources needed to increase accreditation of our schools.

7. What do you do for a living? Why do you do it?
I am an Account Executive for a hospice agency. I’ve worked in healthcare entire adult life in various positions. In my current role I educate on the benefits of hospice.

My beloved Maltese fur-baby, MyaRuth
9. What do you think of Colin Kaepernick?
I believe Mr. Kaepernick is standing up for what he believes.
10. Would you vote to fund light rail expansion in your area?
I would support funding that makes access to Portsmouth as easy and economical as possible.
11. Will you respect the outcome of the election?
I believe in the democratic process therefore I will respect the outcome of this election.
