HAMPTON ROADS, Va. – Several IHOP restaurants in Hampton Roads are giving away free pancakes to people who donate to military families.
Diners may donate by visiting participating IHOP locations and buy a paper icon for $1 or more to receive a coupon for a free stack of three buttermilk pancakes. The coupons are valid for their next visit and are available while supplies last.
The deal is part of IHOP’s annual fundraiser to support the Armed Forces Families Foundation, which helps military families in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Newport News and the southeast U.S.
“We’re very grateful for the support we have from our partner franchise organizations like IHOP,” Said Thaddeus Foster, a board member of AFFF. “By donating, people are not only helping those families who help to keep our country free, but they will also receive a thank you for their donation from our partners. It’s truly a win-win for everyone.”
The AFFF donates 100 percent of their funds to developing infrastructure to help military families.
The fundraiser will last until November 22.
