Salvation Army hosts early Thanksgiving feast in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. – The Salvation Army Hampton Roads Area Command hosted an early and free Thanksgiving feast on Sunday.

The meal was held at the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Norfolk.

Guests were treated to a jazz performance from the men of The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center.

The meal was served restaurant style in 45 minute increments with volunteer servers.

The Salvation Army will also serve meals to seniors at Norfolk Redevelopment Housing Authority on Wednesday and a Thanksgiving meal will also be served at 19th Men’s Shelter on Thanksgiving Day.
