As of Monday afternoon Democrat Roy Cooper nearly doubled his lead in the North Carolina Governor’s race since election night.
The State Board of Elections’ count shows Copper’s lead over Incumbent Pat McCrory stands at 9,905 votes.
All but 14 counties have sent in their final results.
If the difference remains below 10,000 votes Pat McCrory can call for a recount.
The republican Governor is also challenging the results in many counties, claiming there were irregularities, especially in heavily-democratic Durham.
