Va. Beach Police investigate two shootings, under a half mile apart

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Police are investigating two shootings that happened Wednesday night.

The shootings were under a half mile apart, one in the 1100 block of Old Clubhouse Rd., and the other in the 3200 block of Dunnbury Ct.

There were three victims in total from these shootings and police have not said they are connect to one another.

Police Dispatch got a call about the incident on Old Clubhouse Road at 10:55 p.m.

Police say one victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries and is in stable condition. A person at the home where it happened said it started with a knock on the door. "As soon as the door closed, the guy kept shooting. Bullets went through the window," she said. Ten bullets went into the home.

Police Dispatch then got a call about the incident on Dunnbury Ct., at 11:02 p.m.

Police say two people in this incident were transported to a local hospital and are also in stable condition.

Neighbors say news of the shooting is unsettling. Some are even thinking about moving away. "It makes me think it's time to move. It's happening very often," said one. "It's making me think it's better to move."

Two people were also shot nearby in the same night on December 2.
