VIRGINIA – Virginia ABC is holding a lottery to give people the chance to buy the rare Old Rip Van Winkle 10-Year Bourbon.
The bourbon sells for $59.99.
The lottery for the 10-year bourbon will begin on December 15.
Virginia ABC held lotteries for two other Van Winkle Bourbons: Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 15-year Bourbon and Van Winkle Special Reserve 12-year Bourbon.
Thousands of people entered the lottery for the Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 15-year Bourbon. On the day the lottery opened, Virginia ABC received at least eight times the number of active users typically on their website.
Winners will be selected in a random drawing from all entries accepted during the entry period. All entries will have an equal chance of winning an opportunity to purchase a bottle.
