PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Portsmouth Police have arrested the man they believe is responsible for the armed robbery of a 7-Eleven store.
Portsmouth Police responded to the armed robbery Sunday morning at the 7-Eleven on 700 Mount Vernon Avenue.
The call came in at approximately 3:22 a.m.
Detectives say the robber approached the clerk, pulled out a large knife and demanded money from the register. The clerk gave the robber the money and he drove off in a silver 4-door sedan.
No one was injured.
The suspect was identified as 45-year-old Charles E. Hall of Portsmouth. He is charged with armed robbery and is in custody of the Portsmouth Sheriff’s Office.
