CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Five people were displaced from a Chesapeake townhouse after a fire on Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters responded to the home in the 600 block of Harbour North Drive in the Portlock area at 1:09 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the home.
The fire was declared under control at 1:31 p.m.
The five people displaced from the home are being assisted by the Red Cross.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
