NORFOLK, Va. – Monday marks the 16th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks that killed 2,977 people, and impacted many more family’s and communities across the country.
The attached gallery is a look back at 9/11, those effected by it, and how those who died have been honored over the last 16 years.
Cities across Hampton Roads will be holding memorial services, ceremonies, and events commemorating those impacted by 9/11.
