PORTSMOUTH, Va. – 20 gallons of hydraulic fluid spilled into water at the Colonna’s Shipyard in Norfolk on Saturday, according to Coast Guard officials.

The spill was caused by an Army tugboat winch that popped free, releasing the fluid.

Officials say that the source was quickly secured, keeping environmental impact the main concern.

There were no injuries reported in the spill.
