PORTSMOUTH, Va. – The Portsmouth Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a man seriously injured in the 1100 block of Virginia Avenue Monday night.
The call came in shortly before 8:30 p.m. The victim was shot in the lower body and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
There is no further information.
