NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Two Newport News K9 officers were fitted for ballistic vests Wednesday.
K9s Diva and Jakk were the latest in the Newport News Police Department to receive ballistic vests, courtesy of Spike’s K9 Fund, a nonprofit that provides working canines with protective vests and equipment.
The fittings were held at Newport News restaurant Smoke BBQ Restaurant and Bar.
