NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Firefighters were called to an apartment fire in the 400 block of Manor Road early Saturday morning.
According to officials, crews responded to the fire around 5:30 a.m., and put the fire out quickly.
The fire damaged one apartment and two people were transported to Riverside Regional Hospital for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is unknown and being investigated by the Fire Marshal’s office.
