A 2-year-old completed an impressive feat over the weekend, and her parents say this is just the beginning of her athletic journey.
Olivia Hawes, also known as "Olympic Olivia," crossed the finish line of the Loosefoot 616 Memorial Run to Remember at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex on Saturday, August 19.
Once she finished the 6.16 km. run, Olivia was timed at 36 minutes and 30 seconds.
Jason Hawes, a former Navy search and rescue swimmer, is Olivia's father. He said her recent success isn't her only accomplishment: she was also the youngest competitor and gold medalist in the 33rd Virginia Commonwealth Games.
Her parents say the ultimate goal for Olympic Olivia now, aptly, is the Olympics!
