Bayou Bon Vivant: Cajun food, Music & Arts Festival

Bayou Bon Vivant Cajun Food & Music Festival comes to Norfolk

The flavors of New Orleans is headed to Norfolk this weekend.

The 33rd annual Bayou Bon Bivant Cajun Food, Music and Arts Festival kicks off Friday and runs all weekend long. From juicy handfuls of crawfish to renowned New Orleans jazz musicians, Town Point Park is transforming into Louisiana.

One single day ticket will cost you just $10; the weekend package will cost you $20.

Schedule:

  • Friday: 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. (Free & Open to the public!), 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. (Ticketed)
  • Saturday: 12 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Due to weather, Saturday evening of the Bayou Bon Vivant: Cajun Music, Food & Arts Festival has been canceled. All Saturday tickets will be honored on Sunday.

North Carolina Potato Festival

If potatoes are more your style, the North Carolina potato festival is coming back to Elizabeth City waterfront this weekend!

There will be free French fries while supplies last, arts, crafts, and contests, including little miss tater tot, all throughout downtown.

It all kicks off Friday at 5 and runs through Sunday.

Schedule:

  • Friday: 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Chesapeake Jubilee 

Chesapeake Jubilee returns after 2-year hiatus

The Chesapeake Jubilee returns to Chesapeake City Park Thursday and runs all weekend long. The carnival features everything from amusement rides, to concerts, to fireworks!

Pre-sale tickets cost $21.25, and for a family of four, you can get a pack of tickets for just $85.

Pre-sale ends just before midnight on Thursday.

Schedule:

  • Thursday: 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Friday: 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
